Welcome to the help / user guide page of EstatesGeneral website. This is a website that allows users to promote, find, buy or sell properties of different categories online.
This page puts you through on how to make use of this site in case of any difficulty (which is not very likely to come up) or peradventure you get stucked-up whilst browsing. Nevertheless this is a website that is easy to

Home Page:EstatesGeneral Logo:
On the upper left hand side on the home page appears the EstatesGeneral logo. This logo links to the home page from all other pages it appears.
Scrolling Property Categories:
On the top bar are some scrolling pictures depicting the different categories of property available on EstatesGeneral. The property categories include Farm, House, Warehouse, Flat, Land, Shop, and Office space. Click on a category icon and it will display properties available on the left column of the page.
Property Display Column:
This is the left part of the page that displays property available on the website. The properties scroll downwards displaying all available properties on a particular category. If a property is selected, the particular property will be displayed on a search result page. Photographs on the search result page are more legible and descriptive.
Control Buttons:
There are 5 of these buttons just below EstatesGeneral Logo that make up the control button and each of these buttons perform different functions. The control buttons are used to control either the scrolling property category at the top or the scrolling properties on the side.
Description of the control buttons from left to right:
Button 1 (Slow Button):It turns yellow when the mouse comes over it. It is used to slow down the speed of the scrolling property / property category. The more you click on this button the slower the scrolling becomes.
Button 2 (Move Button):
It turns blue when the mouse comes over it and the command it gives is to make the property category / property to keep on moving.
Button 3 (Fast Button):
The fast button turns green when the mouse comes over it and this is used to make the scrolling category / properties move faster. The more you click on the button the faster the scrolling goes.
Button 4 (Stop Button):
The stop button turns red when the mouse comes over it and its function is simply to stop the scrolling property / property category from moving.
Button 5 (Pointer Button):
The pointer button turns purple when the mouse comes over it. If it points to the top, it means the control button will only take effect on the scrolling category at the top of the page. And if it points to the bottom, the control buttons only take effect on the property scrolling on the left side of the page.
Navigation Bar:
These are the major pages of the website which consists of home bar, login bar, search bar, latest bar, my account bar, browse bar, contact bar, legal bar. The buttons link to their respective pages when clicked. The navigation links at the bottom of the page also includes the help page link and the site index page link.
(NB: All the descriptions of the functions mentioned above appears virtually on all the pages of the website.)
Universal Search Column:
This enables the user to search for anything that he / she feels that could be available on the site.
News Column:
The news column is a highlight of the current news and this takes you to the main news page. The news button on the navigation bar also links to the news page.
Promoted Property:
This is a more strategic way of selling your property by displaying it on the home page of EstatesGeneral for a certain period of time as you wish. It attracts a reasonable special offer.
Property Registration:
This icon links to the property registration page where user can register property. The property registration page displays a form on which necessary information about the property will be supplied for smooth administration. There are also columns where users will attach as many pictures as possible of the property i.e. pictures of the property with view from different angles but it is important that the front elevation picture is supplied. for the manual version of the Property Registration Form,
Click here and print.When form has been fully completed, click on the submit button. This takes you to a page where you attach the interior pictures or other facilities your property has i.e. number of rooms available with pictures, lawn, courts, fountain, helicopter landing space, swimming pool etc. Click on submit/last room button when done with the completion.
NB:
Photographs attached should be saved in either gif or jpg format and compressed to a reasonable size. For instance if there are no other facilities attached to the property indicate by clicking on the column for no other facility.
Banner Space:
There is also a space for advertisement where advertisers can place their company banners, logos etc.

Log in Page:
Registered users have to log in to enjoy the facility EstatesGeneral has to offer or to carry out a definite function. There is also a link for new users to click on and register, this links to the registration page.
Search Page:
As the name implies, this page enables you to search all category of properties i.e. users should provide information in the text boxes available and then click on the search button.
Latest Property Page:
This page displays the latest registered property on the website (those registered that particular day) with brief description of the property, also there is a link to view more details on the property and a make offer link for the property.
My Account page:
Registered users automatically have a personal page with EstatesGeneral and this is the account page. Users have to log in to get to their personalised pages. Clicking on My Account bar/link will only display a common page with links to the login page, news page, latest property page and user registration page and property registration page.

Browse Page:
The browse page enables user to browse through the different categories of property on the site.
Contact Page:
The contact page displays the addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail addresses of managers and administrators of EstatesGeneral website. www.estatesgeneral.com
Legal Page:
This page displays the legal notice that guides / protect the interests of this website.
Site Index Page:
This page provides hyperlinks to the major pages of the site. It is quite useful for easy navigation.
Help Page:
The help icon on the home page leads to the help page. This page serves as a user guide to users. It is quite comprehensive and easy to understand. It explains the functions, protocols and guides the user on how to manipulate and get the best out of its services. The help page also has links to some of the pages on this site.
